UAA 2019 Travel Grant

A. Timeline

  • Application deadline: By 31st March 2019
  • Notification outcome: By 30th April 2019

B. Eligibility

  • Applicable for successful Abstract Submitters only.
  • Submitted abstract must be relevant to the congress abstract themes and may take the form of clinical trials, surveys, retrospective studies, laboratory experiments or any other form of unpublished, original work – deadline for abstract submission: 31st March 2019
  • Abstract must be accepted for either poster, oral or video presentation at the congress.
  • Must be living and working in a developing country (refer to table below for World Bank’s List of Developing Countries)**
  • Must be aged 40 or below on or before 4th August 2019 to be eligible for the travel grant.
  • Have fully registered and paid for the congress delegate fee by 1st June 2019.

C. Application

  • Application must be made via the congress’ Online Abstract Submission site (https://mcimalaysia.eventsair.com/uaa-2019/abstract-sub)
  • Submission of additional grant application documents must be in a SINGLE PDF FILE emailed to abstract@uaa2019.com before 31st March 2019.
    • Curriculum vitae (maximum of two pages) including previous awards, education, publications, research activities and further information deemed relevant
    • Passport copy (for age and nationality verification)
  • Applications submitted in multiple files may not be considered eligibility.

D. Grant entitlement

  • Up to RM 2,800 (Equivalent to approximately USD 700) based on reimbursement of travel expenses
    *Very important* - proof of travel and accommodation (i.e. airplane and accommodation receipts at the name of the applicant) for ALL successful applicants will be required for claiming purposes at the congress venue.

** List of Developing Countries

  • Delegates living and working in any of the listed countries below are eligible to apply for UAA 2019 Travel Grant.
